Sometimes just following your guts and trusting the process makes things a little simpler.
This advice is exemplified by San Francisco artist Berel whose new record "Simple" hits our doorstep just in time. The talented singer teams up with Soulection-affiliates Mikos Da Gawd, Mars Today and Aabo for this record and they craft a superb blend of R&B, lo-fi hip-hop and soul. Berel's smooth vocal style blends with ease against the lush backdrop but more importantly, the message of the song should not be ignored. Berel talks about self-trust and the willingness to follow the organic process through and through in whatever field you are in. It's far from preachy or condescending but delivered in a rather light manner.
Northern California bred Berel is poised to drop a debut EP, a new set of visuals later this year and he is also planning on doing more live shows.
