There's a certain quality to San Holo's music that is deeply reassuring to me. It's nostalgic nature always transports me back to a certain charmed time in my life, and leaves me awash with a sense of hopefulness.
The newest single from the beloved Dutch producer / bitbird figurehead – a collaboration with label mate Taska Black – is another poignant ode to wistful love, this time utilizing both San's smooth vocals and electric guitar skills on the easygoing drop. "Right Here, Right Now" is a pop-electronic stunner whose tone hovers somewhere between melancholy and uplifting, striking the signature bitbird happy/sad note that the label has come to truly embody with its eclectic catalogue of soul stirring sonic experiences.
I recently had the chance to see San Holo smash the Monstercat vs. Heldeep party this Miami Music Week, and continue to remain impressed and humbled by his artistic development. Don't miss San Holo and Taska Black on the international festival circuit this summer.
