Up and coming alternative singer-songwriter Mathis Xavier gifts the world with his first 2018 release titled "Kansas City".

The love ballad has a blend of 70s vibes laced with modern ethereal alternative elements. The electric guitar driven record showcases Mathis's unique soft vocal tone and brilliant songwriting skills. The record is about holding on to something that doesn’t bring you much besides the illusion of company. The thought of losing it feels like another failure and the end of one your worlds. The title sets the location of a college romance, the reason as Mathis explains "…I don’t think I’d be happy living or studying there, but I’d sacrifice even for such a dull relationship like the kind portrayed in the song. I’d be that desperate for a little loving...".

The 21-year-old singer shuttles between Montreal and NYC. Since he begun his musical solo project two years ago, he’s released four songs, two videos, various live sessions, and has performed in bars and clubs in Montreal and NYC. "Kansas City" will be Mathis’ first release of 2018, which will later culminate in the release of a full EP.
