Lojii presents his deepest thoughts on latest LP ‘Lofeye’

Rapper Lojii (f.k.a. uhlife) follows his 2017 collaborative project 'Due rent' with a brand new 14 track LP titled 'Lofeye'. The project is a concept album that dwells about working with limited resources and making the highest quality life out of what the world gives you.

The 14 track body of work is a mixed bag in terms of sonic backdrops but the lyrical structure is decisive all through. Passing through sparse flavors of boom bap, house, electronica, grime, trap, and punk married with Lojii's laid back, deep off-kilter raps. Big props to producers thook, Sadhu Gold, Marc Rebillet, Repeated Measures, New Zealand’s HeapRize, and Soulection’s NiceGuyxVinny who all bring very unique sonic canvasses for Lojii to paint his vivid pictures.

Accompanying the album will be a limited edition collection of merchandise featuring original artwork by lojii. Proceeds from each item will benefit a designated organization working to lessen suffering throughout the world.

“lofeye is about working with limited resources and making the highest quality life out of what the f**k you got. It’s when you’re ‘lo-fi’ by circumstance (not just for aesthetic) but your aim is always higher. In essence, this is an LP about being rooted in the dirt you come from but reaching for the sky above you.”

Regarding how the project was put together:

"all of the producers either found me or were connected to me through a mutual friend. it happened in a real organic way… it's important for people to approach this album as a compilation of songs of mine from the past 3 years in which i'm exploring my artistry, my versatility and trying to improve it, all the while telling tales of my life and trying to improve my quality of living. "
