It feels – seemingly – like the era of the remix is back. Last week, we got a Motown throwback moment from Alex Preston, and this week, it's a classic rock and roll moment from the team of Justin Jay and Benny Bridges. They've worked well before – in fact, the only time we've seen Bridges name around in the past is when he's working alongside Jay, and their resume is pretty stellar. But they've come a long way since Bridges's debut on an Alison Wonderland remix with this remix of The Rolling Stones's all time classic 1969 track "Gimme Shelter." Out on Fantastic Voyage, the remix has everything we want in its infectious disco grooves and nostalgia. Out on Jay's Fantastic Voyage, it comes ahead of the release of Benny Bridges's debut EP, out on the label later this week.
