Alex Preston left us with a great impression. And now, he's giving us all sorts of feelings with his latest rework.

The Australian producer and DJ has proven his love for deep house, and now, he's showing his love for the music that preceded it. He's taken on quite a project – soul icon Marvin Gaye's rendition of "Heard It Through The Grapevine," and succeeded. While it's the house production that shines here, a listen this rework is an immediate reminder of the days when mashups and remixes were king. Call it the bloghaus era, the SoundCloud era, or whatever you like, it sure was fun for artists and fans to be able to share in new sounds and nostalgia of their favorite songs. This really makes Preston's work here a special treat, as we get to groove to a new song that we almost already know.
