'NY based emcee Akinyemi and producer ATELLER have come together to prepare a full-length collaboration project titled  'i am u' which will be released much later in the year. In the interim, the duo benevolently gifts us with the first taste of what to come in the form of this record titled "things we do" which features singer leuca. The laid-back record draws parallels between love, personal growth and the memories that tie everything together. Akinyemi delivers his distinct smooth flow and touches on the process of growing with other people through memories and Leuca cements the notion with his soulful vocals. Leuca also adds an interesting dynamic to the concept of the song as he states “I think what I was trying to articulate was the importance of authentic growth with another person. Growing together but growing the correct way & being intentional in love. Being focused can do a lot between two people. Time can’t heal and we won’t be here forever so let’s effectively use the time we have.”

This track is the first single, as well as the intro to the aforementioned collaboration EP “i am u”, between Queens Village-based rapper Akinyemi and ATELLER, a producer who is based in Brooklyn but originates from Tel Aviv. The record shows a pretty strong chemistry between the trio and we can be rest assured that the forthcoming EP is going to be very interesting.
