Up and coming American musician and singer-songwriter Sonia Barcelona is a DIY artist in every sense of the word.Her newest record "Whatever" was written on a two channel looper in her bedroom, where she also filmed, directed, and edited the official video on her own. The record is a reflective tune made up of a simple guitar arrangement layered with engulfing harmonies. The concept of the song as she puts it stemmed from a question her friend asked her regarding making a decision to which she replied do whatever you want. The young artist uses the song as a metaphor for her own personal journey dwelling on self-doubt and perfectionism.
The video was shot and directed by her in her bedroom. The Guam born and native of Las Vegas Nevada artist began writing songs acoustically in 2013 with a classical guitar and began experimenting with a looper in 2017.
