For Manchester born vocalist Kat Brown Sugar, the city has been good to her. Collaborations with some of the city's finest talent, as well as her regular DJ spots across the city, has seen her name rise to the top of the crop within Greater Manchester. Not only does she have the swagger & confidence to carry the weight of a city on her shoulders, it seems she's not afraid to push her work & profile further & further, doing radio shows & backing her own talent.
As a little gift from the birthday girl, we've been blessed with the slick new visuals for her track "Higher". Taken from her Pink Trees EP, released last December on Kush Records, "Higher" is an atmospheric R&B tinged slow jam, that captures the soulful side of Kat. Backed by a relaxing, spacey instrumental, we see the young songstress using her voice to create dreamy melodies, whilst creating a smokers anthem in the process. She enlists the help of fellow Mancunian HMD, who's vocal style is the perfect compliment to Kat's smooth soulful side.
