San Francisco-based Geographer is that special breed of musician that valiantly explores the catacombs of their rawest, deeper selves and transforms them into a lush and vibrant experience. His music is anything but one-dimensional and in his latest track, "Read My Mind" off his upcoming EP Alone Time,  you'll find a sort of yearning breath hiding amongst a grandiose, wave crashing synth build. Today, EARMILK is excited to share Geographer's latest music video for "Read My Mind" featuring dazzling choreography and stunning videography. Check it out below:

I find the duality between the calming emotions evoked through the vocals of Michael Deni and the overwhelming, big orchestral sounding synth builds are highlighted through these stunning dance scenes. Geographer's new EP, Alone Time, is the result of two years of heads down songwriting and internal exploration.  The EP explores nature of existence, the self, an uncertain but optimistic curiosity about why we are here, and what it means to love and lose each other, but most of all a meditation on loneliness.

For this video, I got David Dutton, the mastermind behind and director of the "Kites" video. He really connected with the main theme, of two people who love each other just not being able to treat each other well, because of always misinterpreting what the other says, or not being able to properly explain their thoughts and feelings. That's one of the toughest things to do. Most people feel pretty positively towards each other, especially when they're in love, and generally, the purity of love and respect that people have for each other becomes a casualty of the gauntlet of insecurity and uncertainty that their thoughts and feelings go through from their heart to their mouth.  I think David illustrated this idea so poignantly, and Frankie Tan and Tristan Sean Grimm's choreography is breathtaking. Michael Deni, Geographer
