Modern Me is an indie rock project of San Diego-based musicians Adam Lamah (vocals), Phoenyx Jones (drums), Adam O’Nan (bass), Michael Paez (guitar), and Shawn Kreitz (guitar). The 5 man band just released their latest record titled "dead To Me", an upbeat guitar driven jam that showcases their brooding sound. Dwelling on the the anxieties that plague millennials: moving on from lovers, family; navigating the cultural and spiritual complexities of life, the song hits the mark with Adam's theatrical vocals and song writing skills. The production was spearheaded by Adam Castilla (of indie pop band The Colourist) who helped translate the band's 2000s influences into a modern day jam.
Lamah says. “Writing and tracking this song was so fun. Michael and I had already been working on the song for about a month by the time we brought it to our producer (Adam Castilla). We were sending him voice memos of updates we had on the track."
"Dead to me" comes after a year after the release of their breakthrough single “Waters,”. Modern Me debut a more developed sound in 2018 channeling the bombast of The Killers, the cunning of Young The Giant, and the whimsy of Joywave.
