From the mystical hills of Northern California, the songbird known as Seapora returns with a new full-length LP entitled Seaflow. When I first immersed myself in the delicate soundscape crafted by the lead single "Traveling," I was immediately transported to Seapora's lush world, and knew I had to invite you to join me. EARMILK is proud to premiere "Traveling," and announce the coming of Seapora's newest sonic journey Seaflow, available April 9 on Chillage Records. "Traveling" is beautiful, ambient electronic music at its best. Undulating vocal samples meander through a journey of tones and textures, culminating in an all-encompassing sensory experience. Whether as the perfect brain food study music, or to curate a cinematic moment of your own, "Traveling" is an impactful track. "The lyrical content in Seaflow takes the listener on a journey through the self and deals with existential themes surrounding life and death," says Seapora.
The woman behind the moniker Seapora is Annie Jacobsen. As a young artistic prodigy, Annie took part in musical theatre, dance, and music lessons. After trying her hand at vocal performance and modern dance in college, Jacobsen eventually settled on musical theory as her path of study. The intriguing sound design found on "Traveling" is indicative of Jacobsen's lifetime study of her craft. Seapora writes, "in Seaflow we get a glimpse of what it means to be truly alive and experience our own truth. The multifaceted nature of life inspired this album, as well as the awe-inspiring beauty of our planet."
