Swing Republic was born as the side project of a platinum-selling Danish songwriter and producer, Per Ebdrup and on their new single "Long legs", he teams up with his longtime collaborator, Danish jazz singer Karina Kappe who comes fully equipped with her engaging vocal performance and cinematic lyrics to match.
Employing a vintage swing soundscape, Per Ebdrup builds the perfect sonics for Karina's femme fatale story with a contemporary spin on the subject matter. The visuals were shot on location in a Brighton hotel by Jonathan Nicol who presents the perfect film noir set piece to match the invigorating vocal performance and lyrics of lead singer Karina. The viewer is taken deep into the scenes via smooth cut scenes that build the suspense with a slow progression."Long Legs" is the title of both the lead track and the EP itself. It’s the standard bearer for another collection of 4 expertly crafted songs inspired, as before, by the sounds of vintage jazz, swing, funk, and soul.
