2017 definitely proved to be the year of R&B. Compton native Garren is looking to put his stamp on the genre this year. Garren is no rookie and has found success with his singles "Wrong Way" and "You Know That" featuring YFN Lucci released in 2017. He is now ready to release his debut EP Normal and is kicking off the new year with a new single titled "Conversation" and an accompanying visual.
"Conversation" is produced by Big Fruit and features a somewhat sonar-resembling pulsating sound. It's a perfect springboard for Garren's sultry vocals. The A Plus Filmz directed visual shows a love story happening in reverse. In describing "Conversation", Garren shared,
“The story behind this song is realizing that the women need more respect, more appreciation, and just more value. We as men, can help raise that for them and this is me vocalizing the different things that they actually need from what they currently get. Women need a change and they deserve a change from all of this degrading, I'm here to bring that.”
