Stephen Robusto and Marc Luciano aka Sterling Grove are lunging forward with a full length release later this month but in the interim they serve us with an appetiser titled "Way I Used to". The downtempo, cinematic track is built on a classic drum break, layered with sombre synths, an angelic vocal harmonization by singer Munya and off kilter strings to match. The magic of Sterling Grove comes from the duality between the two producers: Stephen, having studied in the visual arts, brings a passion that captures the soul; Marc, a student of sound design, supplies the sounds that captures the ear.
Kicking off their careers as local Montreal DJs, Marc Luciano and Stephen Robusto quickly grew a passion for musical production and few years of producing, Sterling Grove found their sound and is ready to introduce it to the world. Their productions reflect their love of all instruments, whether organic or electronic. Their upcoming album 'Parallel Lines ' features strong appearances from vocalist Monsoonsiren, Jono McCleery and more. The album is also backed by a short filmed entitled ‘Parallel Lines’ set for release in 2018.
