Welcome to Iris Gold's world of hippie hop and like the name suggests, it's a colourful and infectious amalgamation of retro hip-hop, soul and power pop with a generous sprinkle of flower power. The London born but Copenhagen raised free spirit is sprinkling her own unique musical offerings and fortunately for us, we got wind of it in the form of her new single titled "All I Really Know".
The single is an upbeat/anthemic number that blends soul, hip-hop with soft rock sensibilities. Getting in gear with her unique powerful vocals and knack for blending silk melodies and rhythmic cadences into her writing scheme, she shows a well-rounded knowledge of the different genres infused in the song.
Iris shares her thoughts on the track, "When you have been dealing with adversity throughout your life, it will either kill you, or make you blossom into a positive person, and I decided very early on in life that I would always be positive, energetic, and a go-getter. “All I Really Know" is my Rocky Balboa/Apollo Creed track. It's a song about picking yourself up, dusting yourself off and trying again, after failing, no matter how many attempts it takes.”
