This one has "anthem" written all over it.
"Ignite" is the latest indie pop jam from Orlando young gun AJ Salvatore. And what a breath of fresh air it is. Impressive production and dynamic vocals collide nicely here, with AJ's feathery acoustic guitar plucks floating under Eric Brenner's powerful vocals in unison. The drop makes use of infectious vocal chops, which are splayed nicely with its euphoric synths. What makes the track special, though, is the fact that it's a duet.
Ana Shreve arrives out of nowhere and absolutely slays her verse before Brenner joins in, making a mighty duo. For those of you who are not music producers, I cannot stress enough how difficult it is to mix one vocal, let alone two, and weave them in perfect harmony. AJ Salvatore not only mixed the vocals of both artists, but also wrote the lyrics and overall song structure. Not bad for a guy who only recently became old enough to legally buy alcohol.
