Hailing from Norwalk, Connecticut, rapper thatshymn has seen his work receive hundreds of thousands of streams and gained attention from tastemakers like Zane Lowe with his track "iKnow". This week, thatshymn premiered a new track, "Further [side A]" on Lowe's Beats1 radio show and the very next day followed it up with "Closer [side B]". Both songs tackle relationships: on "Further", a romantic relationship and on "Closer", a familial one. On these two releases, thatshymn effortlesly uses the beats provided to him by saidbysed and Supe to lay down groundwork that provides a preview for what else is to come. Additionally, thatshymn revealed this week that the title to his debut EP will be Pacific Standard Time.
