UK club juggernaut DJ S.K.T is back with "Rush", the lead track on the forthcoming Stashed Music, Vol. 1 compilation. Continuing his big push of momentum from the release of ‘Take Me Away" back in 2015, this DJ, producer and label manager continues to light up stages around the world and this latest banger is the kind of sweaty non-stop groove that we can't stop dancing to. Light vocals, steady but groovy techno builds and deep house bass drops, this track is everything I yearn for mid-set of an underground show. It's just the right amount of vocals and analog work that's not overpowering but still, delivers the right subtle dance beat to keep the energy moving. Here's what DJ S.K.T had to say about it;
"The track came together over one late evening, I couldn't sleep, I'd be traveling quite a lot and had a 2-day break in between tours/touring/gigs. It was really hot as we were having a mini heatwave in London too so I decided to get out of bed and jam. Usually, when I'm bored and I just want to mess around I spend hours just creating a beat, a groove."After a few hours I had this really nice drum pattern and within that I messed around with some bassline sounds and came up with this nice consistent pattern that seemed to fit. I sampled a few words from a vocal and cut it up to fit the track as I didn't want anything too wordy and this was the end result at about 7am with my windows fully open raving in my room with the local postman giving me weird looks from across the road!"
