With so many festivals conjuring out of nowhere these days, they should be about more than just the music. A music festival needs to incorporate other visceral elements that relate to its patrons. They should also be fully functional and safe (here's to you, Fyre Festival).
One Love Fest fits the bill. It is a jack-of-all-trades music festival based in Lake Perris, a picturesque Southern California lake only one hour outside of Los Angeles, offering lakeside camping, sunset bonfires on the beach, and much more. One Love also features a diverse lineup of live and electronic musicians, including headliners Moby, Polish Ambassador, and Kerli, who was recently featured on Illenium's seminal sophomore album Awake.
True to its status as a transformational festival, One Love is offering up much more than a weekend of head-banging and elbowing your way through a crowd of wooks. There will be yoga, water sports on the lake, workshops, and various art cars, art boats and art installations. Essentially, if you like art and music, One Love Fest is for you.
The 2017 One Love Fest will be held on October 20-22nd at Lake Perris, and you can buy tickets via their website.
