Back with two new tunes to fill that dreamy void, contemporary synth pop crooner Hugo Manuel is sharing the first new Chad Valley tracks since 2015’s Entirely New Blue. These aural gifts also come with the news of an album which will debut some time next year. The leading single “Up Again” offers that signature chill, Balearic dream pop that made Chad Valley a Cascine favorite. Fusing smoother, lyrical melodies with more textured layers, Manuel lays down the perfect base for his soaring falsetto vocals.
“LA in August” sees the mood getting more serious with a more intimate feels. Keeping it minimal with instrumentation, this B-side allows you to really focus on that voice. It’s definitely one of those special Chad Valley moments. Now we just have to wait patiently for the rest of the album. “Up Again” and “LA in August” are out now via Cascine and available to download and stream from sites Bandcamp. Catch Chad Valley on tour, some dates lining up with JR JR and Yumi Zouma.
