The 18-year-old, Denver-based alt-pop singer/songwriter, IOLITE, is back with her third single “Sapphire” – a dark attitude filled pop track that we can't get enough of. Check it out and the accompanying music video below:
I mean that guitar hook, holy shit, how catchy was that, am I right?!?! Of course, it's not hard to hear a little bit of Lorde or Broods in the vocals but don't let yourself be fooled. IOLITE's vocals may have that dark pop familiarity but they stem from a charming and alluring delivery that's uniquely her own. Nothing to me is better than dark pop and IOLITE's sound is that sort of seductive finger coming out of the shadows beckoning you to join her. This track and accompanying video provide an exceptional amount of attitude from start to finish and IOLITE is certainly a new artist to keep on your radar.
