The first minute and a half of "Maine," a new track from Orlando producer STAYLEAVE, is certifiable emo music – a wounded vocalist and a yearning guitar. But then a chill downtempo beat drops, and the track begins its slow and satisfying transformation into of-the-moment future bass – fully actualized after the 3 minute mark. There's something to be said for a slow build in electronic music, and the utilization of indie rock sensibilities here has a great payoff.
