Taylor Knox released his debut album LOVE earlier this year, and it garnered the Canadian singer/songwriter critical acclaim from several publications as well as a place at the proverbial table of serious players in the Canadian music scene. His punchy guitar and distinct indie pop vibes ever present, the lanky romantic has released a stunningly shot new music video for his LOVE track "The Stars".
"The Stars" gets its real-life inspiration from a twelve year old junior race car driver named Brodie. Knox takes a backseat to the phenom that is Brodie Brown; he croons "the stars are looking at us" as Brodie is seen posing in front of his car, hoisting a trophy above his head, and whizzing around the track which serves as the video's setting. Of shooting the video, Knox says:
Brodie has a passion for racing cars like I have a passion for music. That is evident when you meet him and I think when you watch the video too. Both the song and this video are about spending the bright days of summer doing what you love
The sun-drenched video feels like exactly that – the final days of summer spent having a ball, wishing moments never to end.
