Earlier in the month, we gave a nod to singer/songwriter JOHN.k on his last single "Gold" featuring Mad Decent-signed and Grammy Award Winning producer Ricky Remedy. Today he returns with "Overtime" a soulful stunner that bounces along from the get go. Not quite boy-band style, not quite indie music, JOHN.k sings his heart out on the latest love ballad. Once again demonstrating a knack for soulful melodies and electronic embellishments. JOHN.k shares, “OT is just the vibe! After making a couple darker tracks, I wanted to put something out that leaned more pop. Something brighter. Something totally different in contrast that didn't try too hard and could slideee right in at the end of the summer. All of us have met someone that we wish we could spend one more day with. Maybe someone who has to go back to their normal life on the other side of the country. OT is about meeting someone from out of town and convincing them to stay for a little bit longer.“
