Ten damn days until The Perceptionists finally drop their decade-in-the-making return album, Resolution. On the final single, The Perceptionists prove they have long since mastered the art of the banger. “Dirty Drumz” is a track imbued with the braggadocio that hip-hop fans live for. Akrobatik brings flex after intellectual flex, urging us to take notes on the technics of his verse. Meanwhile, Mr. Lif catches us red handed on the hook: “all the world wants is some dirty ass rhymes.” Mr. Lif is behind the boards on this one as well, putting together a beat that’s equal parts boom-bap and synths. The production is altogether crushing, grandiose, and ego-boosting. Pair that with the uncompromising bars, and this single might just be enough to hold everyone over until Resolution drops on July 28th.
