Dreamville's latest signee surely knows how to combine the coldest flows with chill melodies. The rapper wastes no bar with his newest offering, as he he flows in and out of the WondaGurl and CuBeatz production. Though “Hasta Luego" was confirmed to be a left over off of J.I.D's debut, it does not take away from the fact that he lyrically demolished the competition with this the worldplay on this track.
The song has an eerie beginning followed by a progressive bass line that turns into an aggressive production for J.I.D to lay his merciless verses over. It is almost as if the East Atlanta rapper heard the freshmen freestyles and decided to show off his true talents to reminder entire industry why his artistry must not be overlooked from here on out.
With this song alone, the emcee is as deserving as all the other 2017 freshman and he is showing no signs of letting down any time soon. Be on the lookout for J.I.D’s second half of the year run as he continues to bless Hip-Hop with glimpses of his stardom.
