It's not easy to impress with a remix of one of my favorite songs of all time, but Kayoh has truly done something special with his rework of "Strobe" by the legendary deadmau5. The Baltimore native's impeccable sound design and creative approach breathe fresh life into the track while still including the perfect amount of original elements. Uplifting vibes from the iconic melody take a turn as the song builds into the first drop. Dark, heavy, four-to-the-floor bass reminiscent of Rezz comes as a welcomed surprise while the second stays more on the melodic side with beautiful arpeggiated synths.
