The Zero Fatigue crew is back with a song as sweet as "Manegos"

“And with our powers combined, we are Zero Fatigue!” is what I imagine Bari, Smino, Jay2 and Monte Booker shouted in unison as they collectively pushed publish on “Manegos,” their latest track on SoundCloud. Seriously though, these guys are like the Justice League, or maybe the Teen Titans at this point since they don’t have that JL recognition quite yet. Quite yet being the key phrase though. And with jams like “Manegos” and an assortment of successful solo projects coming out of the Windy City, it’s really only a matter of time before this crew gets the recognition they deserve.

In the meantime, give “Manegos” a listen below.

[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/325652053" params="auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&visual=true" width="100%" height="450" iframe="true" /]

Oh Chicago, you are so good to us Hip Hop heads. Let’s forget about Common, Ye, and Lupe for a second and focus on recent times. You gave us Chance and Vic sure, but since then an absurd amount of talent has been pouring out of the Chi like a damn flashflood. The Zero Fatigue crew is the latest, and honestly, they may also be the greatest out of Chicago.

As with many a Hip Hop crew, it’s a bit tough to pin down who is an official member. For a fact, Monte Booker, Smino, andRavyn Leane are part of the team but regular collaborators like Bari and Jay2 may as well be on the roster at this point. In any event, when these cats get together their ish knocks like sugar deprived pre-teens trick or treating on Halloween night.

Their latest collective cut, “Manegos” sees every member at their finest. The productions are playful and spacey (a Monte trademark) and the respective verses are grand. Bari handles the chorus, giving Smi and Jay plenty of room to flex their flows. And flex they do! Smino spits his usual wordplay before twisting the pitch up and down while Jay2 spits a verse so fast it almost gets away from him.

This is 100% just a fun track the guys cooked up but it’s telling about their craft. The Zero Fatigue crew is something you’ll want to keep an eye on as things progress. And maybe, just maybe this is their way of teasing a future album?! One can only hope.
