The label synonymous with San Holo's chirping melancholic future bass makes an interesting pivot with their latest release, a haunting piano ballad entitled "Obrecht" by Analogue Dear. bitbird veers momentarily away from its dance music backbone to include a classical piano offering that retains the label's common tone of tear-jerking nostalgia pangs. It's the first single off Analogue Dear's upcoming EP Stories We Tell Ourselves. The Dutch artist (real name Sjaak Douma)'s delightfully Tumblr-reminiscent website announces "I make music from my heart to yours."
