French underdog Douchka is an absolute hidden gem. EARMILK has been raving about the young producer since we first premiered his future soul track "Don't Leave" last year. Inspired by classic hip hop beats and the versatile futuristic style of French touch, Douchka's music is incessantly groovy yet sophisticated. His full-bodied sound is perfect for the upcoming summer season, inspiring light and feel good vibes all around. In each of his originals, Douchka has mastered the "instant-classic", formulating a delicate balance of simple pop and organic soul over warm beats.
His last unveiling was his Infantile EP, released via Nowadays Records at the end of April. Today, we have the opportunity to premiere the music video for "Sunday Morning". The stunning visual is an unexpected pairing to the mellowed and hypnotic track. "Sunday Morning" follows the everyday of Bhuchidt Boonsane, known as "Alien", a young Thai boxer. The oriental inspired instruments accurately cradle the visual, adding a sharp rawness to the video. Intercepted by his child-like vulnerabilities, an animation included represents Alien's innocence and day to day dreams. The music video concept reveals a thoughtful juxtaposition, highlighting the struggles of Alien's strict lifestyle alongside his attempt to live a care-free life like any other boy.
