Can you believe we're already one-quarter through the year? With this in mind, we can expect an influx of summer hit potentials, teasing us with visions of coronas on the beach and palm trees dancing in soft summer breeze. A few weeks back we covered La Felix & That's Nice's breezy tune "Delicious", a work that encapsulated the essential summer spirit. The track has an almost Daft Punk like vibe with its warm guitar and silky vocals and instantly puts listeners in a chilled mood.
To provide the track unique perspective, both La Felix and That's Nice invited their favourite producers Dino Soccio, July Child, Patawawa and REFLEX to add their own twist to "Delicious" in a remix EP. LA-based artist Dino Sino adds a vibey house redo complete with retro sparkles and 80's inspired stabbed piano chords paired over cowbell. July Child provides a refreshed view of "Delicious" in a smoothed out work of bliss, with a melodic buzz that growls within the track. Nu-disco trio Patawawa adds in some deep bass plucks with the mellowed bass-line dancing over sharp clicks. Lastly, producer REFLEX steers the work in a more complex direction, spiking it with hypnotic touch in its repetition.
