Blasting out of the blocks with a machine-like bass rumble and shattering 16th hats, "Famoo Funk's" edge comes from the soulful trumpet and vocal sampling, which Beck has expertly laced into the depths of this jagged techno groove.
This is the 29th release from Gary's own Bek Audio, as he maintains his rich vein of form that's seen him rise steadily up the techno ranks over the last few years. The other tracks that complete the EP all utilise inventive sampling with "Bounce" going in hard and furious, "Bicycle Wheel" taking things a little deeper and emerging outwards, whilst "Stomp" offers a gospel-styled chorus line above Beck's clattering, frantic percussion.
With a mixture of hard, fast and above all fun sounding techno, the Gary Beck/Bek Audio sound is one that's hard to pass up. This infectious latest single/EP will only add to the fantastic back catalogue he's been developing the last few years.
