Already immersed in London's thriving tech-house scene, George Smeddles arrives as one to watch in 2017 with his dance floor ready Baby Drums EP. The third track off the EP – "Less Talk More Dance" says it best – Smeddles' swirling synths and hard hitting bass lines drive his own vocal chops, gaining a notable recognition from the likes of Kerri Chandler, Jamie Jones, and Darius Syrossian. The later tapped an official remix of  the title track, an immense compliment and celebrated accomplishment for the young producer. Smeddles tells EARMILK that the production on Baby Drums was "made by starting off with a groovy bass line which would lead the tracks, then layered with drums, percussion and [on much of the EP, his own] vocal cuts." Baby Drums is out on Smeddles' own independent label Resonance Records, co-owned by none other than tech-house magnate Max Chapman.

2016 was a fruitful year for Smeddles, with a residency at London's Egg Club and slots at major events DJ Mag Live, Ministry of Sound and Do Not Sleep. He isn't slowing down any time soon; just today, dance authority Data Transmission tapped Smeddles for an exclusive mix, heard below. Stay tuned as Smeddles steamrolls through 2017 with more delectable sounds.
