The great thing about house music is that atmosphere of a track is prioritized above all else. Under that focus, there is adequate room for experimentation and quirk. Jace Mek is a producer from Los Angeles who dares to step in that world, crafting bizarre but fun house tunes that extract influence from varying styles. With a humbling following of just under 5k on Soundcloud, the producer is making some waves. Already, he's released off Tchami's imprint Confession and landed a spot on Dr. Fresch's "The Prescription" for a guest mix.
In Mek's newest work "Jar", he gets deep and wonky and features vocals from Brukout. The track begins with a simplistic punchy beat and eventually layered with zips and buzzes. The chittering buzz growls throughout the track and envelope "Jar", giving it an animalistic feel through industrial and futuristic sound.
