With a March that came in like a chill little lamb but quickly turned into a rabid lion, we could all use some summertime festie vibes right about now. Fortunately, for those of us who remain trapped indoors for the duration of the post-Daylight Savings Time blizzard that is still slamming the Northeast, Ducky (nee Morgan Neiman) just dropped a new mix to keep us warm. It’s not just for snow bunnies though: the inaugural edition of the up-and-coming LA-based DJ’s new Bliss Tapes mix series is ideal for whiling-out in any climate.

The mix features 22 of her own songs, most of which are as of yet unreleased. The whole thing is woven together with choice cuts from greats like Excision, Datsik, Kanye, RL Grime, and Porter Robinson to name a few. It’s equal parts feminist brostep and future bass, with hints of the totally uncategorizable. She packs a lot in there.

Beginning with her own track titled “It’s Gonna be Good” and ending with Frank Sinatra’s classic “The Best Is Yet to Come,” the hour-long mix both lives up to its promise (it’s really good!) and leaves the listener excited for whatever the OWSLA regular and Club Aerobics co-founder has planned next.

Back in January, Ducky kicked-off the year with a feature mix on BBC Radio 1 as one of Annie Nightingale’s “Future Stars of 2017.” She’s also featured on Spotify’s “Women of Electronic” playlist alongside Anna Lunoe, REZZ, Mija, Callie Reiff, and so many others.
