With a motto in their Soundcloud biography stating nothing more than 'We Are The Brave, We Do What We Want', Alan Fitzpatrick's imprint, We Are The Brave imprint clearly mean business.

Setting the levels high with their first two EPs, We Do What We Want and Friday Night Dancing, the third comes from talented UK producer, Boxia, and a ferocious sounding two-track EP titled, Colour Sequence.

We're are delighted to be premiering single, “Colour Sequence Orange”, which strikes like thunder from the very first second, but is gloriously tamed by ethereal pads and a dreamy single-note piano top-line as it develops. Check it out below and prepare to be energised.

In contrast, other single, “Colour Sequence Black”, delves into darker territory with a frenzied squelchy bass and an incoherent vox stab pairing that'll unify the dancefloor into rhythmic, foot-stomping rave movement.

Boxia had this to say, "The Colour Sequence tracks started life as a conceptual project where I was determined to approach my productions with a different mindset. I wanted to write something that was left of centre and outside the norm but without falling into the trap of confusing listeners. That turned out to be difficult but eventually, I felt I'd got there, it really did take an awful lot of ripping up of the rule book until I hit that magic moment when you start to involuntarily fist pump in the studio and you know you've hit gold."

Three standout releases in three for We Are The Brave and an impressive return to form for Boxia, who, although not the most prolific of producers, pulls out the stops on each and every release — quality over quality is no bad thing. With such an assured sound being developed on each release, Boxia is going to give 2017 an absolute battering.

What do you think? If you dig it, support it! The Colour Sequence EP drops in (online here) stores on the 24th February 2017.

Born and raised in London, UK. I cut my teeth on a varied diet of rock/indie, hard house/trance d&b and UK garage, developing an acute taste for house, tech house, and techno, but appreciate electronic music in all its glorious forms. Lucky enough to by DJ Mag's tech house editor, as well as having my views published online by some fantastic music hubs, such as EARMILK and Chase The Compass. I also manage deep and tech house label, Faceless Recordings. Let's GO!
