Vizual is an 18-year-old emcee based in Northern California whose sound is reminiscent of a time before he was making music. The recording artist grew up playing guitar until his older brother introduced him to hip hop through Tech N9ne. He says he writes and records as "a way to express [himself] and share [his] ideas with the world." Since he was 14 years old, Vizual has been putting his songs online. Within the past few years his buzz in his home region has grown, but lately he has caught some attention of some big names.
His latest track features buzzing Philadelphia rapper Demrick on the hook and easygoing production from DJ Hoppa. "Overdrive" is a tale of hard work and dedication whose verses bring to mind the golden age of hip hop and whose hook is simple, catchy, and motivational. Vizual is clearly up to something, and 2017 could be the year that the young emcee makes major moves as an artist.
