SBTRKT brings an experimental edge to "Bad Blood" by NAO

London-born singer and songwriter NAO had a great 2016. She co-headlined a North American tour with Mura Masa, and released her most recent album For All We Know. Her voice is usually a soft falsetto but the album has a few moments that take you by surprise and hint at how much power she holds back for most of the album, like in the chorus of "Girlfriend," the second-to-last song on the album. This month NAO will be releasing a remix compilation of For All We Know, and has just unveiled the first single from the project: a remix of "Bad Blood" by SBTRKT. A fellow London-born artist, SBTRKT (pronounced "subtract") is known for his unique experimental-electronic sound, for collaborating with Sampha on some truly incredible tracks circa 2011 within SBTRKT's debut album self-titled SBTRKT, and for the signature tribal mask he wears when he plays a set. Listen to his remix of "Bad Blood" via SoundCloud, and keep an eye out for the rest of the For All We Know remixes soon.
