Nashville-based artist Jeffrey James has a sound that listeners could best describe as "groove-heavy R&B/alt-pop hybrid built on pure emotion". His music has already been already featured on major TV shows (such as “Nashville”), and now James is set to deliver a new batch of songs showcasing a sensibility that’s emotionally charged and indelibly melodic.[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/304629418" params="auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&visual=true" width="100%" height="450" iframe="true" /]
Today, EARMILK is excited to premiere his new single, "Hand Grenade". An electrifying, track meant to shock listeners out of their regular, desk jobs (if the song were to appear in some Spotify playlist), "Hand Grenade is a song that plays upon the theme of wolf in sheep's clothing.
The accompanying music video is also interesting. James comments:
"I wanted the video to express the frustration and energy of the song. The director, Dylan White, came up with the killer concept. Basically, there is something like a riot happening around me, you can't see who the opposing force is or if something is being protested, but you can tell it's a desperate and volatile situation."
