Alex Mills is a UK-based singer who is looking at 2017 as her big year. And it seems she's on the right path, with her single "Be Somebody" ready for release via our favorite Ultra Music this week. Though this is her first solo release on the label, you might remember her from her feature in Hot Since 82's "The Core" out on the label in 2016. The single, an homage to Ruffneck's 1995 house classic "Everybody Be Somebody," with newly reenvisioned vocals and production for this modern dance-pop crossover age we live in. "Be Somebody" has the piano-driven production we associate with UK house, and a catchy show of Mills's vocal talent for the rhythmic pop lovers.
