Brooklyn producer Sammy Bananas further solidifies his place as the master of well-versed remixes and groovy house tracks. He's an expert conductor of the dance floor and his funky house work contains this insatiable appetite to get you moving and grooving. As an original member of the tastemaker Fool’s Gold Records crew, Sammy is a staple name in the U.S. house scene and his latest track "21" is a perfect representation of his clever production fusing in ‘90s-inspired basslines and sax riffs with a tongue-in-cheek theme. This will be the first single off his upcoming LP coming out this year and features hilariously foul-mouthed vocals of Nicky K, a longtime MC / hostess at LES burlesque institution The Box.
"I’ve always wanted to make a shit-talkin’ House record in the tradition of Sagat’s classic “Fuck Dat” or 20 Fingers’ “Short Dick Man”. I met Nicky K through witnessing her hosting sass at The Box and a few Afropunk events and knew she would be the one to make this dream come true! We finally linked last year at Nick Hook’s thespacepit studio and “21” is the result. Thanks to Brian, the engineer at the studio that day who had just turned 21 and provided the inspiration for the track ;)" Sammy
