6lack, an Atlanta artist primarily known for his song, "PRBLMS" is back with a new single. Days before the release of his debut album, Free 6lack, the 23-year-old decided to put his own twist on the hit song, "Wicked Games" by the Weeknd. 6lack has made it clear that the Weeknd is one of his biggest inspirations by tweeting him promising the two would work together one day. His mysterious and yet seductive vocals this artist has brought him a lot of comparisons to the Weeknd's early output, so it's not all that surprising that he cites Abel as one his idols.
This track is 6lack talking about one of his past ex girlfriends showing up at his concerts and acting like she does not know him. He says, "You know we too old for the games," which is a twist on words to the actual title to the original song. These games are not going to help win him over so it is time for her to realize he isn't coming back. He knows he is on to bigger and better things.
His new album is set to release on Friday, October 18th. Singles "PRBLMS" and "Ex-Calling" have been well received by the public and the anticipation is high for the new project. Listen to the remix here:
