Massachusetts based MC Kyle Bent is one of the brightest up-and-comers that you may not have heard of yet. I was first made aware about the 19 year old upstart about a month ago when he dropped a hypnotic new single with rising Chicago wordsmith Mick Jenkins entitled "Divine", in which he showcased his innate ability to craft songs that manage to be thought provoking without being over-bearing or sacrificing sonic clarity.
Today EARMILK has been given the opportunity to premiere a new short film by Kyle Bent entitled "Complex Simplicity" directed by Matt Arnold. In this video (that was shot in his hometown), Kyle brings fans directly into his worldview by addressing the philosophical themes of life & death with lyrical flair, paired with some visually arresting bits of every day life. It's a layered piece that shows his range as an artist with a message, who will hopefully in time put his city on the map. Be sure to check out the Complex Simplicity LP when it is released on November 3rd!
