In today's crowded music scene, sometimes, the best way to get your work exposure is to band together with like artists on a bigger project. We've seen artists like josh pan have success banding together with others, and artists like Rudimental really pave the way bringing artists together from different sounds into one unified addiction to positive energy. Well the next collective to know has arrived, and The Fedz are bringing it full force. Made up of artists from the US and the UK, The Fedz formed in January 2015, bringing together Grammy and BRIT award-winning producers, musicians, three vocalists and a DJ. And what sets The Fedz apart (aside from their infectious sound) is their included graffiti artists and mentors Dennis Bovell and James Poyser. With leadership from Poyser, who helped artists like Lauryn Hill, D'Angelo and Adele find themselves, The Fedz have broken out in an impressive fashion with "What's My Name." A funky, undeniably soul-moving track, "What's My Name" brings us in and doesn't let go.
Following the track's release in August, the group just released a chopped up, two-stepping re-up over a video detailing what they've deemed as their "Street Takeover."
"What's My Name" is out now via iTunes.
