LA-based dyad Coast Modern has dropped a remix of their single "Guru." The remix was created by multi-talented producer Comets We Fall. He takes "Guru," inserts his creativity and reworks it into a track with an electronic dance feel. The original version of "Guru" consisted of a reggae style beat combined with unique vocals, and Comets We Fall uses a similar rhythm in his version, but installs other electronic percussion and synths to give his version some artifice.
Comets We Fall is looking to "provoke feelings of nostalgia while featuring future-leaning electronic sounds. He hopes to be the pair of rose-colored glasses for his listeners." When it came to his remix of "Guru" he says, “I wanted to turn the Coast Modern beach-y vibes to 11 for this remix – hopefully we can make the Summer last a little bit longer!” I think he succeeded in his mission.
