A lot has changed in the dance music industry since the release of Bingo Players's "Cry (Just A Little)." Dance music has hit critical mass, Bingo Players are now a solo project with the tragic passing of Paul Baumer in 2013, artists like A-Trak have revived fans care for #RealDJing, and the single is a permanent fixture in the scene. If anything "Cry (Just A Little)" is a gateway drug for those unsure if they are into house music.
Now nearly five years after the original track's release, international turntablist, electro and hip hop sensation A-Trak has teamed up with crossover duo Phantoms to bring new life to "Cry (Just A Little)." While keeping the integrity and the iconic nature of the original, this remix successfully taps into our nostalgia while simultaneously giving it a smooth, groovy update for the current state of house music. Electro soul and funk inspired, this one's out via the original label that took this to market in 2011, Spinnin' Records.
