It's hard to believe that electronic duo Chromeo's hit "Night By Night" is nearly six years old. A single from their third studio album, Business Casual, it's one that's remained a fan favorite since, and a must-see at every live performance. Since its release in 2010, "Night By Night" has seen remixes from a range of artists like Skream, Oliver Nelson and Neus. But this week, French house producer Norman Doray has resurrected the track for another contemporary go-round.
The remix from Doray is a family affair with Dave of Chromeo's famous real DJ-ing brother, A-Trak, commissioning the remix himself. Many of Norman Doray's past hits have had a special French style, and it's one that he's been continuing to develop into 2016 through his next original release slated for this August. He's certainly delivered on "Night By Night," whose original is an unexpected perfect fit for a French disco house upgrade. With groovy nods to the past and future, "Night By Night" is ready for summer 2016 with the help of Norman Doray.
