Will Epstein and his band High Water is the latest addition to Other People, the label run by Nicolas Jaar. Epstein first caught our eye with his cover of Lucinda Williams' "Changed the Locks," and with new single "Moonlight Mind" impressing once again, anticipation for his forthcoming album, Crush, couldn't be higher. With Epstein acting as band leader, High Water is rounded out by Spencer Zahn on bass and guitar courtesy of Dave Harrington, Nicolas Jaar's bandmate in Darkside.

Epstein is clearly inspired by classic, traditional material, but he can't help but throw in dashes of experimental oddball weirdness here and there. His songs are grounded, though, and his earnest, unwavering voice is the anchor. Check out both tracks, and grab Crush when it drops July 1.
