Harrison has a way of weaving together sounds with his own take on the future funk genre — playing around with different instrument tools like an eager kid in a sandbox, mixing together notes of funk, house, and even jazz at times. For his latest creation, he took on the summer-ready tune, "Give It Up" from indie-pop outfit Bear Mountain. It's self-reflective of love lost that is tinged with sun kisses of optimism for love in the future. The original is a grooving tune rich in 80s synth pop nostalgia and a catchy chorus that will whet your whistle. Harrison takes the original and carries it with a melody that is disorienting, uplifting, downtrodden, yet vibrant. It oscillates downwards and back up, like the romantic roller coasters are hearts play when they're in love. It's another great remix from Harrison and a great flip to an already great track.
